Pride and HumilityPride is like a mountain –
Towering o're the plains.

Humility is like a stream –
Just one of the River's veins.

The mountain blocks out the Son
With all its glory bright.

The stream brings water to the earth
As it winds from left to right.

The mountain is an idle thing –
Sitting tall and fat;
Seen by all, worshiped by all,
But only stays where it's at.

The stream is like a messenger –
Spreading to all the word,
The message of Peace, the joy of Hope,
As through this Place we're hurled.

So don't be as the mountain,
With all its power and height;
Be as the stream – the River's vein –
To spread the
True LoveTrue love is a crimson coat
That no one dares to wear.
It's talked about, and dreamed about,
But no one seems to care.
It stays locked in a wardrobe,
And seldom looked upon;
But no one dares to wear the coat
That only One has donned.

That One, they say, who wore the coat
Was often called a Son.
A son, by whom, the people say,
Victory o're death had won.
The coat had earned its color
By the blood that He had spilt.
But, died He not
How grass dies, or how roses wilt.

Who can match this sacrifice?
Who compare to this?
Can anyone amount to it
With just one simple kiss?
With just one hug, an "I love you";
An action, oh-so-trit
For His Child 1Hush my dear
You have no need to fear.
Jesus is here to erase all the pain,
He has taken the blame.

He'll love you forever,
No matter where you stray,
He'll always bring you home,
He keeps his children safe.
Will You SayGod, give me grace

To run life's cruel race.

Lord, give me wisdom,

So when I enter your kingdom,

You will say "Well done."

Jesus, give me a servant's heart,

So I may do my part

As long as you stand upon MY Rock, and stay withing MY Strong Tower, the evil one can not destroy you...
The voice stills and as I look down from the Tower and see dark red blood washing over the battlefield turning it white

I'll lay My healing heart inside of yours,

Believe the TruthSome say that He was just a man,
Some say that He was not God.
This was in His perfect plan –
To test whose faith was strong or flawed.

Through His blood salvation bought –

Whether they believe or not,

I do not know who wrote this but the analogy is so true to many of our lives. Anyone who has called a service line for help with a computer can relate to these 'problems' and 'options'!

RECALL NOTICE:
The Maker of all human beings (GOD) is recalling all units manufactured, regardless of make or year, due to a serious defect in the primary and central component of the heart.

His TimingHow many times have you wondered,
When, just when will it be my turn,
To feel those emotions so locked inside,
Such feelings you can't help but yearn,

One Little SheepOne of His sheep thought He wasn't looking. And He knew how this one little sheep could be. He was headstrong and rebellious. He believed it could do anything by itself, that it could do no wrong.
He watched as the sheep tried to unlatched the hook. After much difficulty, he finally succeeded and wandered off. Jesus stared at him; His eyes never left. He gripped His staff and quietly followed him. The rest of the sheep slept in the green pastures, the stars as their nightlight.

My Humble PrayerScarlet waves break and swell,
A scene I know all too well.
Dark thoughts swallow me whole,
There's nothing tangible for me to hold.

In hope I'm lacking,

I humble myself to ask for forgiveness,

"I am grateful for what You give me, Jesus," Jacob said as he stared at the ground.
Jesus smiled at him.
"I may not be able to live in a beautiful mansion, or a beach house where I can see the sunsets. But at least I have shelter. At least I have these people and these things that You have given me, that You have placed in my life. I am blessed in so many ways." Jacob smiled.
Jesus replied, "My blessings to you are like the flowers you see."
Jacob looked around and Jesus bent down to grab one.
"There are...so many blessings, Lord." Jacob said in awe.

A gift? No, a curse,
which I could not fight.
And though some envied me for it

owned by something else,
longing to be free.
It spoke what I did not want to speak,
It told me what I did not ask,
It haunted me both night and day
till I thought I'd go mad -
or was I already?

and felt Its fear,
for It knew (and so did I)
that my help was near.

The River of Life      There is a River that runs through all our lives, and we are but the pebbles underneath His torrent flow.  When we first enter this world, we are the rough, jagged stones that enter into this eternal Stream.  Over time, the River molds us and makes us into the form that He desires.  Sometimes the River is calm, tranquil, and serene.  Other times He is bumpy, rough, and even violent.  Nevertheless, the rocks and pebbles underneath hold on to their Anchor and change with the continuous Pour.  Some call this river the River of Life, for it is this River that makes us who we truly are.

The Fount of Peace

I fell fast asleep one night,
With cold tears in my eyes.
I had wept upon my bed,
With bitter thoughts inside my head.

It was o're a small, small thing,
Compared with what was to come.
I was in a small, small world,
Considering where it was from...

I was either sleeping, or awake;
A vision, or a dream.
With eyes open or eyes closed,
I saw my Savior. And his clothes
Shown with a great, great light
That swallowed up the dark.

Then somehow, somewhere,
And in some amount of time,
I found peace;
A sweet, sweet peace
That only comes from inside...

I turned to thank my Savior,
Who had given me this peace,
But I was in my room again;
So I got down on my knees.

I prayed a prayer;
A small, small prayer
To thank him for his mercy...

And finally I had found that Fount
To drink from when I'm thirsty.
