Dear Readers,

I am a born-again Christian. I am here to share some poetry with you that touched my heart as I wrote it.

Please enjoy my work; it was inspired by my Savior. (I hope He's yours, too!)

God bless and keep you,

GoldenQuill7

"O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good: for His mercy edureth for ever."

~Psalm 107:1, KJV

Amen.

In the misguided world of today, I sometimes wonder if people of Christ realize what difference they can actually make. It seems that Christians often shirk their God-given quest onto the shoulders of their neighbors. I find myself succumbing to this fault as well. We look about ourselves at the world--so full of darkness and uncertainty--and say, "What difference will one Bible track make?" we say; "I'm sure someone else will come along." Little did we know that that soul would be lost in sin forever.

Perhaps we cast away these duties due to the magnificent responsibility they carry. The fact that the eternal fate of an individual lies in our hands is perhaps too great a charge. We often lose sight of a greater Good; we forget that there is a Rock to cling to and a Shelter to hide in.

However, in all things, we must find strength in Him--who saved our own souls to begin with. Each pure thought, each good action is glorifying to Him in whatever degree it may be. We mustn't become so consumed with our work, but remember to look Above for peace and rest which He so generously supplies.

Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Spirit--the One. Amen.

As a Christian..which many of you say you are.. I am wondering if you like many others who claim to be Christian if you are planning to vote for Romney..?
Consider the following.
The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ.[112] New introductions, chapter summaries, and footnotes. 1920 edition errors corrected based on Original Manuscript and 1840 edition.[113] from wikipedia.
Now.. Romney is a Mormon and what does it say in
Galatians 1:8-9
After you read that scripture.. tell me how anyone, as a Christian could justify voting for Romney ??

also .. here is an interesting link..

I'm glad I logged in and saw your comment, buildingclimber. This is a discussion I've had with many of my friends, both Christian and non.

I believe that Mormonism is a cult, and, as such, is perverting the pure light of Christ. (Just to be clear--I follow the One true God of the Bible. I'm a Baptist.) I've read many blogs and articles about Romney's profession of Mormonism--he's devout. I simply cannot imagine supporting such a thing, even if it's affiliated with my usual political party.

So, no--I can't justify voting for Romney. Most likely, I will vote for the most viable Christian candidate, parties aside. I cannot violate my Biblical beliefs just for my political preference.

Thank you for spreading the word about this ethical challenge. God be with you.

God be with you also.
I am glad you see the glaring contradiction and indeed the impossibly unChristianness of voting for any Mormon for any reason.
It is an untenable, unsupportable, unjustifiable departure from God's word to do so, and I am amazed at how anyone who calls themselves Christian could do so..
Then too there is the lesser of two evils argument which some are using to justify voting for Romney....Evil is evil..there are no degrees ..sin is sin.
If Obama can not be voted for because he fails the Christian standard then the answer is vote for neither, because Romney clearly fails that standard. it to me is simple.. do not vote at all.
Rather than go against God.
